About tyres

Hello

I have a renault trafic and I am looking to replace its tyres, can someone please guide me as to what should be the tyre size? I think 195/17/15 will be fine….please recommend, thank you

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
It is normal etiquette to introduce yourself to a new group before asking questions, but as you've already asked ...
195/17/15 is incorrect - no normal tyre has an aspect ratio of 17. I don't know what year or model your van is but I'm sure that my 1985 Trafic had 14" wheels and were 175's rather than 195's. I don't know the wheel sizes of later Trafics.
Surely the best thing to do is to look at the size of the tyres you have on now and buy some which are the same size? Asking for recommendations is a bit pointless really as everyone has differing opinions - what is wonderful on a Transit might be rubbish on Boxer, or VW or Trafic.
You pay your money and take your choice.

I'd follow Frank's advice and simply look at what is already on it, but you can also check here for the year of your van etc:

As to the tyre recommendation, I agree with Frank again, it's all about budget and personal preference. I go on a few vehicle forums and tyre choice threads always end up being about 10 pages long with more recommendations than you can shake a stick at.

This is shortly followed by choice of oil and brake pads.

Basically, we're not driving high performance vehicles, so any appropriate decent set for your budget will be fine.
