water tank drain valve. Inca 2005

Does anyone know how this valve is fitted into base side of fresh water tank. I have a new valve and my question is....
is the valve screwed into a female thread incorporated into side of tank or is it retained in the tank by a loose nut inside the tank. I do not want to attempt replacement until I have a definitive answer. Thank you
