newish member introduction

Hi all

Jan and I have recently purchased an auto sleeper Inca, as a first motor-home, will post a picture when we have cleaned it.

As an ex vintage bike owner I know how helpful forums can be, so will be picking your brains in the near future.

Have a very steep drive, and so have fitted air-ride suspension which did the trick, and now getting to know the

vans do's and don'ts. Look forward to getting 'in the loop' Roger G

Welcome to the forum Roger an Jan. I hope you enjoy using your Inca, plenty of space in them. I too have Airides fitted but am watch carefully as they seem to need blowing up every couple of weeks and I feel thats not right

Will keep an eye on the suspension, I understand that a temporary initial pressure up to 7 bar tends to seal in the joints, but that's hearsay. Did find one side of ours went down a bit after a couple of days, so shall keep a watchful eye on that. Luckily we've got a pump fitted, so its not too arduous to very the situation a bit.

We are tending to keep a general in use pressure of 4 bar at the moment, but could probably still run okay at about 3 bar, we will see how it goes, its all a bit new just yet.

Have to say that the ride quality is much better and very little rolling at roundabouts is a definite gain.R

Sounds like a leaking air line we had one the pipe was cut at an angle and failed to seal correctly,try pumping to 7 bar and use a washing up liquid solution on all the joints

When it had its mot this year I got our garage to have a look at the system, and check for leaks and there was no evidence of leaks. They would have done a thorough check as Dave is a motorhomer himself and I know the underside of the van gets a good checking, cos that the way he is.
I have just increased the pressure to see what happens. Thanks to you both for the advice
