Also looks as though there is a drop down work top at the end of the left seat looking at the photo

I suppose we have to remember this is a prototype,  maybe comments will be listened to and amendments will follow.

Or maybe AS will issue advice only to consider buying if management and you are both small enough to pass in the passageway at the same time smile! In WXL management can squeeze past me if I am at cooker, and we can clear each others legs with one sitting on couch and other moving past, can't see that being easy with Merc being 6inches narrower on inside.

Four minute video now on FB. Looks like they have managed to take a longer van and fit less storage than wxl has. Top cupboards now concave rather than convex, so less base footprint. Wardrobe beside fridge has full length door so can't see if drawers there, looks like less cupboard space under cooker and sink. Shower and toilet reversed in location but didn't look like increased space, now has Alde radiator to burn leg when sitting on loo.

Liked idea of heated seats.

It doesn’t do any thing for me at all , looks very cramped in the back and as already mentioned not as much storage , I don’t like the control panel in the main living area and the 2 extra bits of work surface that have to be dropped and  lifted , what’s the point of having the overhead lockers wider at the top apart from the illusion of making the  area look wider

Seen merc van at show today. Know it’s proto type but as it is don’t like it at all. Not good use of space available, until layout is improved do not see it selling. £125000. Can do a lot better with that money else where. Only van I saw that interested me was vantage neo, that said I will be hanging on to my WXL for the forseeable future, especially at the price four years ago.

I watched a YouTube last night which was by one of the Motorhome Magazines and the reported price would be £114,00 for the new AS M-Star

That would not include the leather upholstery as on the demonstration model at the NEC

Is that a cupboard over the microwave?  Wonder how far that will open considering it looks as if the Aircon will interfere with it....

The auto switch-off may interest you.
A geek friend and myself developed an app designed so that I'd never either hear or see the former Scottish first minister. It detects presence and switches off the device 3 seconds before it appears. Can be modified for other sources of extreme annoyance too! Now on special offer at only £5000, last few remaining! hugegrins hugegrins  hugegrins

The layout is Warwick XL with a few added bits and pieces. The extra length gives the full height wardrobe and tall fridge/freezer and not much more. It's the narrowness of the Sprinter that spoils it for me, not that I'm even considering changing, what we have will be our last.

Prices are just crazy now, paying over 100K for a converted van is madness. A really good older van makes far more sense and when the day comes and it will that the bottom drops out of the market you won't have lost a small fortune. If I was in the market and I am not I would choose a Warwick XL but in the meantime will enjoy my 11 year old sumptuous Worcester.
