HEKI roof light

On my 2017 model Broadway EB the mosquito net on on the Heki roof light does not close properly. The small gap leaves plenty of room for the pesky blighters to enter, is that normal?

Is it a Heki or a Remis? I suspect the latter, which will make a difference to the responses.

I wouldn't worry too much anyway. From our experience the little swine manage to get in whatever you do. There are so many holes in the van they always find a way!

The best solution we've found is to give the van a good spray with insecticide, and dive under the duvet until it has cleared.

At least then you have a fair chance of zapping those already lurking behind the curtains, waiting until you are just nodding off . . . . then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!

Our Remis seems to be OK That is as OK as far as it is allowed to be due to the necessity of their being holes in the net.

We don't have problems with the large Heki. It is the door where insects get in.  All our fly screns work well.  Any thatget in are down to user error for us.

Do you mean the front, overcab skylight fly screen ? If so then ours, badged both as Remis and Dometic, doesn’t close either. ( 2014 Broadway EK)

Its all along the length of the top as well as, more, round the opener. A length of small bore foam pipe insulator, hung over the leading edge, fills the gap nicely and is not to obvious, especially if you choose grey foam. We have lots of blue stuff left from protection round a big mirror. 

When the van was new we had problems getting both blind and flyscreen to stay up at all. AS fixed that.

The big roof skylight, a Heiki, closes fully and has a catch as well. Snag with that  is that the net comes out of it’s runner very easily.
