MOT advisories on Peugeot boxer

Hi ..i have been doing a bit of investigation on a 2001 ravenna Peugeot 2.8 hdi via check the car.com ( a trusted source??)
The mot details over the last couple of year's are as follows:
advisory 2016
nearside front Subframe mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive (2.4.A.3)
25th June 2015 pass
19th June 2015 fail
Nearside Front Suspension spring mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded (2.4.A.3)
Offside Front Subframe mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded (2.4.A.3)
MOT'S and house surveys ...I find hard .I am not particularly mechanical minded.
Anyone help me understand?
too costly to repair?
To many signs of it being a money pit in very near future?
I'm not sure what to make of this.
And if it's a non-starter for purchasing
