Good rear view vision when travelling and very good when reversing as the camera swivels downwards.

Really good bit of kit. allthumbz

Hi CC, I've always equated the age of the Boyz with the cost of their Toys as well. biggrin

You are right about it being a well made bit of kit, it has performed admirably.

Hi DG

The CM-42 looks like a very nice camera and I particularly like the heating function.

Another possibility is the dual camera approach where both are set up optimally and the displays can be toggled between. It is this approach which I will probably go for as my main use for a reversing camera is when I am reversing down a long narrow driveway which has a slight decline to it. When I do this the van takes itself down in neutral so I cannot rely on reversing sensors or reverse gear enabled switching.

Regards
Keith

Reversing camera or sensors ? - Page 2 Empty Insurance

The only thing that I would add to this debate is that I got a reduction on my insurance for having the reversing camera. I don't think you would get that for having sensors. broomstick

Our Cotswold has the camera and its excellent, though my thoughts are to fit sensors as well, they are cheap as chips and with car parks using bollards etc now its quite easy to miss one when reversing. So for a few ££ its peace of mind. If i had to choose one or the other it would be the camera any day of the week as its handy to keep check on the rear even when parked up esp if you have bikes etc on the rear
