Much better weather this morning, some sunshine and light clouds. The odd shower forecast for later but not sure it will get this far West. A day of outside jobs plus if time permits the van will get a bath and start on the spring deep clean and wax.
Have a great day all allthumbz

Nice to see you got home safely Tony, cool dry dawn, light rain started around 7 am, light sea fret/har coming in from the south east, milder.
Have a good day, admin day for me.

Another pleasant day for our drive home. As we came over the bridge it was looking misty towards the coast but it’s nice at home.
The weather can do what it likes for a couple of weeks but it would be nice if it was dry when I am in Normandy.

Awful forecast for tonight in South Wales: v heavy rain, thunderstorms, and general pestilence! Just been out to batten down the greenhouse. Hope it’s better for you, Ian.

Morning folks.  Bit overcast this morning and a temperature of 9 degrees but the cloud should burn off with the temp getting up to high teens later on and sunny all day.

Yes, got up to 18°c yesterday and had me thinking of warm summers days smile! Similar day today with a bit more cloud but mainly dry and sunny for shopping trip. Forced to dig out my old B&Q jig saw (tool not toy Whistle1 ) yesterday to fix a "made to measure" aluminium table top. I discovered the blade clamp is broken, can I get a replacement for the model, can I heckaslike shrugg

Something I need as well Tony is a new jigsaw, trying to go over to de-walt cordless for everything but it isn't cheap so I have to sneak it in under the management radar one piece at a time. snigger

Cloudy with a few spots of rain at the moment but better things promised for later in the day so a few maybe after coffee o clock will be able to get out and get on again. The van got really dirty the other day so want to get that washed but other jobs keep getting in the way.

Have a great day all allthumbz

A lovely bright and dry day here. It really feels warmer at last so the washing from the trip can go on the line.
I had a prescription to collect so whist we were out we called in to the polling booth. This year it is across the road in Lidl car park.
As we walked across from Lidl a muppet reversed out of a bay as another muppet was reversing along the parking bays. A case of two people not looking but we didn’t get involved there were lots of other witnesses.

Don't be scared of Parkside from Lidl GH
All use same batteries too. Quality is good and Lidl have a good return policy.

My last night forecast proved accurate yet again, nice day here, hazy sun and quite a bit warmer...

I do have a bit of parkside stuff Ian, I agree for what it costs it is pretty good.

Managed to get the roof of the van done today, now looks sparkling, well from a drone or bridge anyway. Overcast this morning with a few spots but turned out better as forecast this evening. Early shop tomorrow should be home by 8am so will see what the day brings! confused3

Good luck with the MOT Dave, Yes, looks like another decent day although there is a chance of getting hit with a shower over lunchtime. Forecast is for it to be mainly dry and sunny with broken cloud. Should get up to 16°c later. More outside jobs to do today, hinges on our garden gate snapped so need to replace them. Getting the old rusty ones off will be a pain happyyes Also finishing fitting the polycarbonate sheet to the gardener's cold frame (didn't order enough last time shrugg ) Everybody needs a hobby snigger

Another dry start here so as much as I hate it it’s hedge trimming time. The side hedge will require the van moving over so I will get the cassette emptied, dump the dunny as the Australians say.
Muttly was stood behind the front door whilst I was doing bacon butties. The dinning room door was open but he wanted to go out of the front door. Some times I think it takes him a couple of days to swap from van to house living. Our daughter says he is special but I think she is being polite. sit

Back from the early shop sunny and dry so out to get on today.
Called in to the surgery to pick up my heart tablets (yes I do have one) but they have none and not does anyone locally. They are closed now until next Tuesday when I have to call and see when they will be in. Of course I will run out that day
Asked if I could arrange a PSA test and they said you will have to ring us for that. I was tempted to get the phone and ring them there and then and watch as they answered the phone.
Just a symptom of modern living.

Out with Tag before dawn to avoid the forecasted rain, thick cloud cover and sea fret/har rolling over the coast .
Have a nice day, hope your wee car gets serviced fine Dave, did ours last week.

So much for the forecast of a nice sunny day - it's pouring and there's no sign of it stopping any time soon - can see me getting wet when I go to pick the car up from the garage......

This weather proved not to be trusted. As we finished our morning walk it started to get chilly and overcast. I just managed to get the hedge trimmed when it pored down. Cutting hedges with a mains trimmer is not a good idea in the rain. I had to put my cap and coat on to sweep up the clippings.
No matter I got the cassette emptied before moving the van back so today’s goals have been achieved. allthumbz

Yesterday's showers lasted a bit longer than forecast, no matter because our outside jobs were completed before the rain started. Cloudy today with more rain on the cards for later and a high of 13°c. When cleaning the aluminium cold frame yesterday I thought that using my Dremel with a brass wire brush to get into grooves was a good idea. I spent half an hour instead picking tiny brass missiles out of the arm of my fleece snigger Epic fail happyyes

Lovely sunny start to the day, some cloud passing at the moment but hopefully it will be out of the way soon. Back to painting this morning, it is an annual job around all the retaining walls, whilst not my favourite task not so bad. Managed to get most of the van cleaned yesterday, toothbrush all the appropriate bits so now it is ready for a seal and wax before the season starts.
Ooh the sun is back out best make a start

Overcast this morning but 11 degrees.  Car passed the MOT but had to take it back again this morning as the parts for the service didn't arrive until just before they were due to close.  Garage were going to stay on last night to service it but as I still had the shopping to do I just decided to wait until today..
