Front high level marker lights issue?

Front high level marker lights issue?

Hello, the front high level marker lights on my AS Broadway (2013) are on while I'm charging the vehicle battery. The battery is flat and I need it charged so I can drive to get a new battery fitted. Is it normal to have these lights on while the battery is charging. Is there any issue with them being on. I've tha betery charger directly connected to the battery terminals and not to the terminals in the engine comparment. TIA.
