Truma aventa comfort

I have a problem  with truma aventa comfort aircon unit.new from august 2019. So not really been used.motorhome parked on drive .thought  I would try  the heater side of it but it only blows cold air .yellow  light says it's on the heating function and temp turned up to maximum.? Any ideas.

Hi there, if your unit is the same as ours the heating comes from an inbuilt heat pump. My understanding of how a heat pump works is like air con but working in reverse. Ours initially blows cold air, but after about 10 mins or so warms up nicely. The handbook says working in this mode the outside temp should be no lower than approx. 4c, and the air blown into the van is dehumidified and can quickly clear condensation on glass etc. Hope you get it sorted as we have found this to be very useful. Hi again, just another thing I noticed with ours, the thermostat needs to be set quite high. This is the 'stat setting  for the Aventa on the remote. I presumed that it is hotter up there than lower down. Don't know if it uses a separate 'stat or the one for the main Truma Combi heating, but I often have ours set to 27c + to get the Aventa heating going. Karoq.

Have just got back from taking our 2019 Bourton  to Truma as a red light came on on the air con unit, Aventa Comfort,and would not go out, having never used the air con we knew something was wrong.I cannot praise Truma highly enough. We rang tuesday to enquire if it was possible to take it to them to check it out having first spoken to our dealer, yes it was ,we took it two days later, today. Got there what a fabulous place, first things first the m/h was taken in then we where taken to a waiting room, more like a sitting room, given the most delicious bacon barmcakes and coffee, telly if we wanted it on, plenty of reading material. Anyway an hour and a half later the job was done, everything was explained and they showed us again how to use the air con which we had asked them to do.This was a really First Class service and i cannot praise Truma highly enough.... any problems you may have with your Truma appliances do ring.

Thanks for all the information. Did ring truma they said the outside temperature  was to low for the unit to produce  hot air. So will have to wait and see.

Hi, yes when we at first took it to our dealer that is what we where told, because the temp was below 16 we would have to wait a while but rang Truma and told them the dealer was quite happy for us to contact them. After the job was finished of course we went back into the m/h whilst they explained what had been the problem and what had been replaced they also had the unit on with lovely warm air coming from it, well the temperature was not above  16  degrees but it certainly was in the m/h. Another thing he told us was to have a look on youtube for the instructions how to use it properly to get the most out of it, we have had a look and the chap who actually fixed it was on there giving the instructions, he did explain to us whilst we where there but its great having it on youtube to refer back to...we will need it!

You dont say what the initial  problem was and how it was resolved. Do you have the title  of YouTube  clip

 The initial problem was there are three lights which come on when working, blue for cool air , orange for warm and red when there is a fault. For no reason at all because we had never used the air con a red light came on, stayed on a few hours then went off, same thing again and again but the light was staying on longer and longer until when you plugged into 250v it came on and wouldn't go off until it was unplugged. We rang our dealer and was told about the temperature being below 16 degrees and having to wait   until it was higher because it won't work  below that which we thought was nonsense but took it as read, we live over a hundred miles away from the dealer so asked if we could contact Truma which was nearer for us,  they were quite happy about it  so booked it in with them. When we got there they explained it was more than likely the room temperature sensor fault built in the unit which it turned out to be and it was replaced. The clip on youtube is not not what we thought but we may have got the wrong thing, fortunately they did show us how to work it and have done so since getting home.
I would ring them again if ever we needed to without any hesitation, the chaps in the workshop where more than happy to help us, plus they have all the parts there because its a training school for their engineers and dealers.
