Sprinter recall- glow plug control unit.

Had the Stanton into Mercedes in Manchester today to do the recall job on the glow-plug module; according to the notice water can get in and cause "a smouldering issue and, in rare cases, fire damage"! 

If you bought your Sprinter "used" it might be worth contacting Merc if you have not received the recall notice; the DVLA (or whatever they are this month) might not be 100% on this case. 

It's only a 20 minute un-plug/plug-in new unit job and they should download the latest software for the van at the same time.
