Bourton drop down cupboard doors

Has anyone had drop down cupboard doors fitted to the inside of the bench seats so that you don't have to keep lifting the benches and cushions off when you want to get underneath from the inside, as in caravans?  I've thought about it and wondered how much it is likely to cost if I take it to A/S.  I haven't asked them, thought I'd ask around the forum first.  Angela (Jimmee)

I am astonished that these new vans do not have doors under the benches, our Worcester has them but the replacement Winchcombe doesn't, certainly on the ones I have seen. Maybe there is good reason but I suspect it just saves A/S a few pounds in production cost,  a bad omission surely?

Theoretically a  job you could do yourself or get a carpenter to do at not a huge cost, wonder if A/S can supply matching laminate and trim?

Yes, we are surprised that they are not fitted and we too think it is a money saver.  I'm pleased that you have them though.  We can take it to a local carpenter but want it matching. I might give Mark a call at A/S.  Thank you for your reply. I'll report back Angela (Jimmee)

Oh no, Mark can't leave!  He's so knowledgeable.  What a shame.  I only just emailed him earlier.  Oh well, someone else will reply.  I find AS pretty helpful whoever I contact.  Thank you for your help.  I'll give AS a ring to enquire about purchasing some sheets of laminate.  Angela (Jimmee)

Our Duetto had drop down locker fronts under the bench seat with baskets that slid out. Because of the size of the benches on our Rienza they are heavy to lift. Also it would save having to move muttley off the seats every time we need something from under the seats.

It would help if the back cushion was split in two. It is so long, we find it awkward to manoeuvre without bashing a light fitting when we want to get underneath.
