Leisure Battery

Good evening to all,
I need some help please....


Firstly, this may seem a very stupid question but can anyone tell me where the Leisure battery is....


Secondly we are having a problem with the Leisure battery indicator on the Sargent Panel above the habitation door. 
We have had it at home on Electric hook up the vehicle battery reading is fine, it is fully charged.... however the Leisure battery keeps dropping when reading the AH, even to the point it read zero....
When it reads the charge, it is green and reading ok..
I rang Autosleeper and they talked through re-calibrating the Sargent panel for the Leisure battery. However it seems to be happening again...


Anyone have any ideas please. One garage told us we needed a new battery another it needed a deep charge...


I sincerely hope this makes sense to someone and can make light of what is going on...

Battery is under the passenger seat, vehicle battery under a cover in passenger footwell. Can't help with other query though. Do you have a EC500 PSU and CP480 control panel?

Once you have found the battery do an independent check.

Confirm what the Sargent says as its current state of charge then disconnect the battery.

Let it rest for 20 minutes (minimum) and using a reasonable Digital Multimeter measure the voltage. Slight variations depending on the technology but for a standard Lead Acid 12.6v is fully charged, below 12v is under 50% and the battery is in trouble.

If it has been recently charged it could take several hours to drop down to the steady state value of approx. 12.7 volts. Better to leave it over night before checking the voltage.

Hi   I have figures for lead acid.     12.7==100%
                                                   12.4==75%
                                                   12.2==50%     
                                                   12.0==25%
                                                   11.8==0 %
Battery can be recovered down to 9 volt but dont keep trying that!!   12volt will start a good engine.
