fitting a bike rack

Hi there Has anyone fitted a bike rack to Nuevo and what problems did they encounter?. Thanks for any help that is given.

Hi, in the absence of a fitted tow bar (Thule two cycle option at £179) the Fiamma Carry Bike Pro C at £229 fixes directly to the end panel of your Nuevo. The diy option would demand some skill and confidence to carry out the task. Need to ensure that the fixing points are within the parameters of the extra bonding incorporated in the rear panel to accommodate the load (see owner manual to confirm the four fixing points. Others would pay for a professional fitting service.

I entirely agree with Paramedic.

I wouldn't risk a DIY job, both in case of water ingress or structural failure. I'd say pay the money and get a guarantee.

It can't be too big a job as our dealer sometimes offers a bike rack as a discount when buying a van. 


The other questions are, how old are you, how tall are you, have you got a towbar fitted, and what do you want to carry on it??

If you are getting on a bit, vertically challenged, and/or want to carry electric bikes, I would strongly recommend you think very carefully. I'm 74 but still pretty fit, and I'm 6' 3", but I found the electric bikes such a struggle that we tended not to use them, even when we hoisted them together.

Since getting a Thule towball mounted rack it has been a doddle.  

You must have grown an 1" from last week Dave, as you were 6'2".
