hi to all sandhurst owners. picked up ours on Friday and we love it. one small question, can anyone tell me what the switch does that is next to the electric step switch and the heating controle ? just a single gang box black and chrome finish ? I await your expert answers allthumbz

Hi, on mine it switches the two front lights on the ceiling, on and off if you leave the switch turned on at the light

That is correct it's the switch that operates the lights as you enter the van at night

The Eberspacher heater on my boat is only noisy on startup, as mentioned earlier. I always try to start it while the engine is running as the glow plug demands a lot of amps during the startup phase. Probably not a problem when you are on ehu but maybe worth taking care when not. Mine uses next to no diesel and produces lots of heat. We have a flexible hose which fits into the heater outlets and will do service as a hairdrier at a push, or does a great job of warming up a cold bed. Good heaters.

That's a good idea Elsie, my brother could get a hose to help dry his dog after its jumped in a stream, luckily my hair dries in about 30 seconds as I don't have much left now
