Drive away awning to fit Broadway EL 2011 Empty Drive away awning to fit Broadway EL 2011

I have just changed my T5 for a Broadway EL and my wife would like to have a small porch drive away awning to keep shoes, mud out of the vehicle.  Went to Norwich Camping on Friday and although the sales man was very knowledgeable and helpful he could not suggest a suitable awning.  The major factor against most awnings available seem to be the door opening, it would hit the sleeve.  Has anybody, succesfully, fitted a stand alone awning to the EL.  This model has the built in wind out awning which finishes half way across the habitation door.  Any help would be appreciated, keeping the peace in the houssehold smile!

You could use an 'outhouse' type tent which would stand alone for storage but not connect to the van or a kitchen tent that have a front panel that simply lifts up and is held up on poles which could be placed close enough to the van but does not have the 'tunnel'
Example..

Look at this on eBay  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112360201680

When we changed from a T5 we used the Drive away we had for this for some time just erected it in the same place but of course couldn't connect, most sites even them that say no tents will accept this, just a alternative until you find one you like and will fit (sorry cant help with that)

If just away for a couple of days with friends we use a bike tent that we bought at motorhome show for £25.00 not seen them as cheap as that anywhere else but Halfords have a posh looking tent on e-bay for £30.00. Best bit it folds up into a very small storage bag

Sorry to give grim news but due to the habitation door positioned immediately behind the cab, it may be impossible to attach any type of awning directly to your Broadway. You have identified the problem being....the door opening in relation to the mounted position of the above roll out awning. Hopefully someone may have resolved the problem but this very same issue was on a similar thread dated August 12 2016 'Broadway Poor Canopy Position' under 'Coachbuilt Motorhomes' by pads 're his EL Duo'.
