Delamination Empty Delamination

Has anyone experienced delamination? I picked up our nearly new 2013 Burford last weekend and took a look on the roof today, I noticed the black shroud over the rear of the habitation was very spongy is this normal?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'black shroud', but the grp roof is not bonded to the internal ceiling and does move.

On yachts yes, delamination is usually pretty obvious, blisters, stains, cracks, large areas of pimpling? Impossible to say without seeing it but Peter's suggestion sounds most likely if the area looks to be in normal condition with none of the above.

Thanks that has put my mind at ease My old burstner merc he roof was much firmer, I didn't realise the GRP is not actually bonded. That would answer why it felt spongy phew !,,

Just to be sure do get it checked out though if it feels spongy? Even if it is meant to be like that, just in case, as the van must be still in or just on the cusp of warranty.
